This thing is so awesome!

hard enough to be challenging but easy enough my 8yr old son could hover it his first time :o

We have more in stock, 4 sold within 2 hours of them arriving

Yes, yes it does. We flew two of them at the park tonight, was a blast!
Its fun working a 2 minute drive from Competition RC.

Hey TheSteve,

I TOTALLY know how you feel! Although I live only two blocks away from the store!
Makes it tough on my pocket book, but easy on me! :P

For those that have a Blade MSR channel 5 is a built in dual rate. By default if you use a DX6i, DX7, x9303 or 12x etc the heli will be in gentle mode. If you program a switch to toggle channel 5 you can speed up the collective movements.

I've also done a small mod to my 4 port charger so that the AC adapter will now charge the cells in it. I am using 2000mah AA Eneloops in D cell sized battery adapters and it works great. Competition RC has the battery adapters in stock if anyone needs them.

Have you moved the swash links to the longer ballstuds? I can't imagine how quick it would move with both settings done :o

Not yet, need a little more outdoor flight experience with it first. Even moving the links it will be much tamer then a Walkera.

The MSR also has the ability to right itself like its hanging from a string if you stop giving it any input, it will swing back and forth but eventually end up in a hover.

Was out with Steve tonight. This Heli is lots of fun. I have about 14 flights on it so far. Will be stopping by to get some new gear for it tomorrow.

FYI - the Blade MSR has some built in mixing that adds elevator based on rudder position. It can make it easier for newer pilots but I've found the heli flies better at slow speeds using a transmitter to mix out the factory mixing. At high speed the mixing may be useful. So far I've added the control to a toggle switch on my transmitter so I can turn it on and off.
To see the interaction yourself watch the swash plate as you move the rudder control from one extreme to another with the throttle off.

It has also been recommended on other forums to add a small piece of some strong tape across the endbell of the tail motor. During a crash if you hit the rear blades it can push the black cap off the tail motor which usually destroys it. The tape just adds a little extra strength.

I am very pleased with my blade mcx helicopter. I have also purchased the blade msr but have been waithing for my spectrum 2.4 module. I have flown the stores msr but need more space as i don't wish to crash it. This makes Joseph and Brian both very unhappy.

If I'd'a KNOWN about the MSR... I wouldn't've got the Novus CP... Relabeled Walkera... Already gone thru a set of blades and I haven't even got it into a hover yet...

Joseph let me try an MSR one day when I was in the shop... Kinda left me feeling edgy but it WAS my first successful tail rotor heli flight...

I'll get me one soon enuff... The extra $$ I have right now is for speakers...;)
