Hey All,
Here's my first two vids of my ERevo VXL @ a track & a dirt field that are like 5-10mins walking distance away.
Yeah, I know they are choppy, I used an original jailbroken iPhone to take the vid, and I was holding the phone and trying to drive at the same time. It's totally like trying to chew gum and walk at the same time! Seriously! ;)
Well, here they are! Enjoy!

I later realized that dirt field was a monster.
It tore one wheel right off my bead loc's and at a closer look, almost every tire had blown out of some part of the bead loc. =/
Guess I ran it a bit harder than I thought that day!
I've since tried adding clear silicon to the tires just before putting on the bead loc's.
We'll see if that helps any! =)
Perhaps my 8th scale will fare better, my poor mini was getting tossed everywhere. Maybe I can somehow level out the field a bit. =)
I also have found out that some time during that day something horrible went wrong in my drive train.
My car clicks like crazy when giving it gas. =(
Oh well, a quick trip up to Brian & Joseph @ CRC should fix it up! =)

There is probably a small pebble in your spur gear for the noise. Cool vids!

I wish it were so!
It's clean from what I can see.
Doesn't make the noise when it's in the air. Only when it's on the ground. =(
Gunna have to rip apart the trannies and see what they look like.
Should be fun, this is my first time ripping an RC apart.
I was hoping to wait until after my 8th scale kit comes in and I build it from gound up.
We'll see...
Why do I have so many screws & parts left over!? LOL...

Those have now become "spare parts" you will need them later. LOL.
You will do fine!

LOL. Totally!
Well, I decided to go ahead and learn how to rip this thing apart.
I figure if I'm giving it to my kids to use they will be a lot harsher on it than I am. =/
I pulled apart the front diff & it looks good. Tossed some grease on it, put it aside & moved on.
Got the rear apart and whalla!
Messed up gears! Yay! Figured out the culprit.
Got some replacement parts from my favorite hobby shop (CRC!) and tomorrow I'll have to replace the rear main spurish? gear. The one that has all the gears inside it. Should be fun! Once done I'll move back to the fronts, clean them out and fill them too.
May as well as I still have the bulkhead out and picked up some 20K diff goop.
Then, lastly, rebuild the center gear & actually put it ALL back together.
Can't wait to get out bashing again!
I'm starting to feel a little enlightened now that I decided to pull this little guy all apart.
<--- Jr. gearhead in the works!

They are both within a 10 minute walk from Guildford mall.
Neither are on the overhead sat pics as the clearing and the track are just too new.
PM me if your interested in going out sometime!

I finally got around to tossing up a pic or two of the damage I did while out bashing in that field.

Apparently, on that same day, either at the BMX track or the dirt field I blew out the rear diff gears. =(
I didn't hear it clicking until the other day when I fired it up @ the RC get together @ Kwantlen Park.
I've posted a few bad pics of my fist ever tear down & diff rebuild.
(My kids have stolen my camera so I used my iPhone)
I'm rather proud of myself...
Is that lame? Ya probably! ;)
