I own a rc8t, This is a kick *** truggy. It's built like a tank and there are alot of
after market parts and every hobbie shop has parts. Never seen anyone with the rc8te version, the chassis looks the same as the rc8t. You should check out the new rc8t
special edition, It comes with a Jconcept body and wing (looks ever better than the current version).

that sounds great! i've been looking through other online forums and these trucks are pretty solid people say who owns one. I will get this truggy probably before or after Christmas. SE looks awesome i love the body

I just got the body from JConcepts, I like how the body looks more like a truck. The
new Losi truggy also comes with this new style of body. I think you will be happy with
the rc8te or rc8t. I will probably go brushless with my truggy once my engine
starts going ..... What brushless system and battery are you going with?????

Good luck Jalo!

hmm i have not thought of that yet =/ probably a mamba monster in it with either a medusa or neu-castle motors between 1600-2000kv gear it for 50's, not gonna race it just bash around or go to a bmx track. a123 is gonna be my power supply since i have grew fond of these cells. i got 5s a123 in my rusty with 4800kv medusa lol overkill but it runs good. i want a good handling truck. e revo's are good but i hate teh chassis. if only they revised the aluminum one to have 1 or two batt pack, preferably 1, on the side would have been good.

I'm chiming in a bit late in the game, but how has your RC8Te been treating you?

I'm looking to get something a little more solid than my Traxxas E-Revo VXL.

I think my truck is awesome, don't get me wrong.

Just looking at possibly going the RC8e or RC8Te route & something that will handle 6S & be a bit more rugged, I hate worrying if I'm gunna snap something going off big ruts and getting some air etc.

So far either the RC8e, RC8Te or the Vorza is what I'm looking at.
It's pie in the sky, but ya gotta reach high sometime!

Anyone wanna give some updated info after driving theirs or advice on what they may have seen on other sites?

hey, rc8t's are great. haven't used mine for a bit since school and i'm waiting on new batts for it. have
not done any crazy things to it yet but its a pretty solid truck. i rolled on pave and dirt already still no broken parts. btw if you want to go crazy (with rc8t) you might want to get alu shocks and chassis braces as the stock break or pop with enough force. i have read through other forums and sites that those are the things need to be changed and maybe the rear hub carriers. other than that its a great truck. i will put it to the test though. there is a school near my house that has a ledge between the basketball court and the soccer field. it is probably 5 - 6 feet high. i launched my rustler full speed off that and bent a pin and a rod. hopefully my rc8t will handle this jump no prob. batts will be 2 pounds heavy. p.s. use thread lock for steering block bushings. if ur tires arnt balanced like mine, vibration will make it loose. a set of these bushings go for 10 bucks lol.

here's a vid of it taking hard lands... pretty durable.
